A site visit to the new wetland at Cutwater Road, Pukehina, allowed project partners to see the fantastic progress the teams are making.

Perimeter bunds – designed to hold and direct water through the new wetland system – are now complete, and work has begun on shaping the deepwater sections that will support diverse aquatic and birdlife.

The visit was also an opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the mahi of those involved in transforming this landscape into a thriving, healthy wetland.
